Our Story

Our story begins with a Tradition of Taste, A Legacy of Hospitality

Sunday Morning Coffee began with a simple but powerful childhood dream—one shaped by child’s play with toy coffee and tea sets, the rich aroma of coffee in the air, and a vision of one day creating something meaningful, warm, and inspiring.

From those early dream-building moments, founder Savannah Mitchell poured heart, soul, and tenacity into building a beloved Black woman-owned coffee brand. Bootstrapped from the ground up, Sunday Morning Coffee quickly became known for its luxurious blends, superior quality, and deep commitment to community. With global partners, national awards, and a loyal following, the brand grew into more than just a cup of coffee—it became a symbol of excellence, elegance, and empowerment.

Today, the vision has been realized and expanded into a living, breathing experience with Sunday Morning at Savannah’s—a breathtaking 200-year-old manor nestled in the rolling hills of New Windsor, Maryland. This one-of-a-kind destination is home to a boutique bed & breakfast, artisanal coffeehouse, and cultural event center, all designed to offer rest, beauty, and meaningful connection.

Every sip, every stay, and every gathering at Savannah’s is crafted to stir the soul. Whether you’re enjoying our signature roasts in the coffee lounge, attending an intimate event under the flowering trees, or retreating to one of our elegantly appointed rooms, you’re part of a story that’s still unfolding—a story rooted in legacy, joy, and the belief that we all deserve moments of timeless luxury.

Welcome to Sunday Morning. Welcome home.

Core Values

  • Integrity: The thread that holds every element of Sunday Morning at Savannah’s together, from the way we source our coffee to the way we care for every guest.

  • Excellence: We hold ourselves to the highest standard because our guests deserve nothing less.
  • Gratitude: We lead with thankfulness—for the land we steward, the people we serve, and the dreams that brought Sunday Morning to life.

Our Commitment to Social Causes

Empowering Black Communities Through Hospitality & Coffee

At Sunday Morning at Savannah’s, we believe in ownership, legacy, and access. That’s why we are committed to empowering the Black community through education and exposure to the bed and breakfast and specialty coffee industries—two industries that have historically lacked representation, despite their immense potential for generational wealth, cultural storytelling, and economic mobility.

We are building more than a business—we’re building a movement.

Our Vision for the Future

At Sunday Morning at Savannah’s, we envision a future where hospitality is notVision Photo just experienced—but felt. A future where the charm of Southern grace, the aroma of perfectly roasted coffee, and the serenity of curated spaces come together to nourish the spirit, inspire connection, and create legacy.

Our dream is bigger than a bed and breakfast or a coffeehouse—it’s a living, breathing vision of Excellence, Elegance, and Entrepreneurship nestled in the heart. As we grow, we aim to expand our reach, while remaining intimate and intentional.

Our story has just begun.
